WE ARE LOOKING FOR FIERCE COMPETITORS TO JOIN OUR RACE.
You do not need experience in 3D printing or even access to a 3D printer. All you need is a team of 2 or more people, and the time and commitment to prepare for and participate in the race.
SPECIFICS:
- Each team will design a cargo boat using 3D modeling software. The teams at Pioneer Works are using Rhinoceros which you can download for free through late August. The Digital Stewards would be happy to get you started with Rhinoceros, or you are welcome to use another 3D modeling program. - Each team will need to print their boat using a 3D printer. Again, we got you covered. If your team does not have access to a 3D printer you are welcome to use the one at Pioneer Works. - Each finished, printed boat must fit in a 2 ft x 2 ft x 2 ft box. - Pioneer Works will supply each team with all the electronics necessary to control and power your boat (RC transmitter and receiver, 2 motors, steering motor, and batteries)
